14 years ago last week… A man, a van and a dream
14 years ago last week our Managing Director, Jamie first jumped in his rented van and made the first Today Team delivery, a mattress from a local furniture store to a house in Warrington. What a long way the company has come since then!
Today Team now provide thousands of nationwide and international collection and delivery services for clients ranging from local SME’s through to multi-national blue-chip companies.
Speaking about the milestone, Jamie said “I’m not sure where the last 14 years have gone. I can still remember picking up the first van from the hire company in Deeside on a Saturday morning, ready to get started on Monday. The journey since then has been the most challenging and most rewarding thing I have ever done. I’m proud of getting the company to this stage however I want to continue to push on and develop Today Team further”
The team surprised Jamie with the pictured cake on the anniversary, which like any form of goodies that appear in the office, was demolished in record time.
When asked about the next 14 years, Jamie commented “I’m only 38 years old so there’s lots of life left in this old dog yet. I made some major changes to the business in 2018 to put the foundations in place for future growth and I’m pleased to say it’s worked really well. I still bounce out of bed each morning and I love my job, so we’ll press on and see what happens over the next 14 years.”
