We deliver the goods with CIPD award win

EVERYONE at Today Team is absolutely buzzing after we won a coveted CIPD People Management Award for our ambitious people transformational strategy.

We were presented with the ‘Best SME People Management Initiative’ award for a company with less than 250 employees at a prestigious national awards ceremony.

Jamie Boyd, our Managing Director, was joined by Jayne Chadwick of strategic HR specialists People Puzzles Ltd at the event, which was held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday, 25 September.

Together, Jamie and Jayne have devised a new organisational framework that has transformed the way our business operates from the ground up – leading to record-breaking growth and now the recognition of the CIPD.

“We’re over the moon with this award; it’s great to be recognised for the investment and effort that has gone into building a future for the business,” said Jamie, who founded Today Team in 2005 with a small loan from The Prince’s Trust.

“I can’t speak highly enough of Jayne’s support and guidance; she is very much a part of our team going forward. We’re now in a fantastic position to attract, retain and develop the people who will put us in a great position for continued growth – and the hunt is now on for more superstars!”

Jayne, our part-time on-site HR Director, added: “When we first started working together, Jamie joked about becoming a People Puzzles case study. We are delighted that Today Team have now taken a step further – winning a much-deserved CIPD people management award. With five new senior managers now taking care of operational matters, Jamie is free to focus on the continued expansion of the business.”

Ally Maughan, Founder of People Puzzles, was also in attendance at the dinner, was also delighted with the win: “We love working with ambitious business owners and entrepreneurs who are committed to taking their organisation forward.
