Today Team Delivers Bespoke Zinc Bar for New Manchester Venue
Today Team is well accustomed to providing bespoke and dedicated services to its customers. In a recent job for a client in Manchester, these principles also applied to the goods we were asked to deliver.
Renae is a new music venue and events space that has just opened in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Featuring a record and book store, dancefloor, events and co-working spaces across 3 floors, the venue has been launched by local DJs and hospitality workers, Brad Parkins and Harris Mouridis.
As well as playing host to Manchester’s only L-Acoustics Syva soundsystem, the bar will feature a “one of one” counter made from zinc. We were tasked with transporting two bespoke pieces, more than 5 metres long in total, and 100 mm thick, weighing around 100 kg.
This solid bar top was collected from Think-Zinc in Edenbridge, Kent, before being delivered to Thomas Street, Manchester, where it was installed in time for renae’s opening night on 28th March.
With diverse plans to include jazz nights, album launches, workshops, plus resident and guest DJs, as well as serving craft beer, natural wines and cocktails, the bar is set to be a great addition to one of Manchester’s most music-led neighbourhoods.
Co-founder of the project, Harris Mouridis, was delighted with the service received and how Today Team played their part in making sure renae’s opening plans went as smoothly as possible, saying:
