Reflecting on 2025: Today Team’s Top Moments
With 2025 coming to an end and 2026 nearly in sight, it’s a great opportunity to look back on a memorable year at Today Team. It was certainly a busy one from a business point of view, as we celebrated our 20th anniversary, but also in the community, with sporting events and fundraising efforts particular highlights. We’re really excited to build on a great year in 2026, but let’s look back at the highlights:
Isabelle nominated ‘Rising Star’ as part of National Apprenticeship Week
Isabelle went from junior apprentice to achieving her promotion to a fully-fledged Logistics Co-ordinator in under two years. She also received not one, but three distinctions in her qualification with Warrington & Vale Royal College, and was nominated by her tutor as a ‘Rising Star’ as part of National Apprenticeship Week. Her story was also picked up via various press outlets!

Crosfields ARLFC first team sponsorship renewed
Rugby League and the story of Today Team have been closely intertwined since the start, with Jamie playing for Crosfields and professionally for Warrington Wolves before injury curtailed his career. Jamie was a proud onlooker as the new kit made its first outing in March.

Today Team celebrates 20th anniversary
On Friday 16th May, Today Team celebrated 20 years in business. It was a huge milestone and one that the whole team are immensely proud of. There were birthday treats at TT HQ, plenty of press coverage locally and even wider afield, and some fun as we looked back at what has changed in 20 years as a same day courier, alongside our weirdest jobs over the years.

Firewalk fundraiser for WDP
In the middle of a June heatwave, most people were trying to find ways to cool down. Not the same day delivery superstars of Today Team, who braved a barefoot walk over hot coals reaching more than 550 degrees Celsius!
We were also joined on the day by Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Mo Hussain. 12 firewalkers took part, including 5 Today Team members; Jamie Boyd, Lee Turner, Kim Higgins, Claire Johnston and Tom Mackenzie – raising £2,350 for the Warrington Disability Partnership.

Same day delivery superstars
Earlier in the year, we set ourselves the ambitious target of reaching one hundred 5-star reviews on Google ahead of Today Team’s 20th birthday.
Not only did we smash through the 100 review target ahead of the 20th birthday in May, but our fantastic team have collected even more since then, leaving us on 120 x 5-star reviews at time of writing!

Acquisition of Elite Logistics
Leaving the biggest milestone of 2025 until last, in October we completed the acquisition of Elite Logistics, founded in Barnsley, Yorkshire. The acquisition is a key step in Today Team’s growth roadmap.
Not only does it enhance our operational footprint and client base, but it also strengthens our strategic positioning. From day one, our Managing Director, Jamie Boyd, took personal responsibility for overseeing the integration of Elite Logistics into Today Team’s processes and culture.
