Today Team in the Media
It’s been a busy start to the year at Today Team. Aside from the satisfaction of solving time critical logistics problems on a daily basis, we’ve also been lucky enough to get some fantastic exposure in the media during the last couple of weeks.
In case you missed it, here are the highlights!
Press Coverage for National Apprenticeship Week
You might have caught our recent blog about our new apprentice Ethan, but to add to this, we’ve also had some great news about one of other apprentices, Isabelle.
Isabelle has gone from junior apprentice to achieving her promotion to a fully-fledged Logistics Co-ordinator in under two years. She also received not one, but three distinctions in her qualification with Warrington & Vale Royal College, and was nominated by her tutor as a ‘Rising Star’ as part of National Apprenticeship Week.
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) took place from 10th – 16th February, and is an annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships. The week aims to raise awareness of their benefits and encourage people to consider them as a career path.
A story about Today Team’s success with apprenticeships, including Ethan and Isabelle, was covered by a number of outlets, including the Warrington Guardian, Couriers TV, Courier News, Business Cheshire and Warrington Worldwide.
Well done again to “Iz & Mo”, our up and coming same-day superstars!
Jamie Boyd Interviewed by the BBC
Not your usual start to a week for our Managing Director, Jamie Boyd, as he was paid a visit by BBC journalist Nick Holland and interviewed for an upcoming Radio 4 feature (as pictured in the header).
Nick was extremely interested in Jamie’s story, asking him about how technology has changed during his time in business, his views as an employer on the shift towards working from home, the technology we use as a business to manage drivers nationwide, and finally about the mindset needed to run a same-day logistics business.
We’re looking forward to hearing the finished feature, and finding out what parts of the interview made the cut!
Today Team Spotted on ITV!
It’s no secret that sports, and rugby league in particular, play a big part in Today Team’s story. We’ve recently talked about our sponsorship of local sports teams, and how we’re proud to support the community around Warrington.
So, it was a nice surprise to see our advertising make the perfect backdrop for a piece on ITV news at the “Luke Littler Stadium”, home of Warrington Wolves, in a pre-game feature ahead of their win against Catalan Dragons!
The stadium was renamed for one night in honour of the 18-year old darts prodigy, who is a lifelong supporter of the club.
