Today Team Featured in the Warrington Guardian
A great start to the week for us at Today Team, as we’ve been featured in the local paper!
Chronicling our rise from the first office in the back of a van to today, 20 years later, the article is based on an interview carried out by Heidi Summerfield with our MD, Jamie Boyd.
We’ve come a long way, with Jamie getting that first van thanks to a £3000 loan from the Prince’s Trust in 2005, and starting out delivering beds and sofas locally.
It wasn’t Jamie’s childhood dream to go into logistics, he’d already achieved that when he made it as a professional Rugby League player for Warrington Wolves. A serious knee injury meant a change of career, and as they say, the rest is history.
It hasn’t been plain sailing all the way though, with challenges such as Covid-19 to overcome. Yet from those small beginnings, Today Team now provides 70 vehicles per day to clients around the country, and is still based in the Warrington area, with premises on Taylor Business Park.
Jamie has become a mentor for the King’s Trust (formerly Prince’s Trust), and we’re gearing up for an exciting year ahead, not least thanks to a big celebration when the business turns 20 in May!
