Today Team News – Apprentice Jack takes it up another Gear!

Not content with being an award-winning student back in June, Jack, the Today Team apprentice, is now embarking on a Traffic Office apprenticeship, proving without a doubt his commitment to providing the logistics excellence you expect from Today Team, your trusted same day courier service.

Now that he’s competent in Business Admin, he wants to further develop his skills to create exactly the skillset Today Team needs – planning, scheduling and routing goods being transported overland. Jack’s going to need serious organisational skills, as he learns all about managing timetables, planning routes, scheduling loads, and assigning drivers to vehicles, as well as how to quote for services.

Most importantly, perhaps, to succeed in this apprenticeship, he’ll have to maintain the highest standards of customer service. Attention to detail. Reliability. Quick reactions to head off trouble.

But it’s what we’ve come to expect from Jack. He loved school, he worked hard on his apprenticeship last year and he’s excited about his new challenge – put simply, he just loves learning, and he’s got great ambition.

What does bossman Jamie say? “It’s been great to see Jack’s development and his move into Operations seems like a natural progression. As a team, we are giving him our full support so that he can continue to develop and grow. He’s already told us he wants to be Operations Manager in the next 12 months, so he’s certainly aiming high!”

They say if you want something doing, ask a busy person. Jack’s going to be busy, that’s for sure…
