Today Team Featured by Northern Business Media
We had some fantastic media coverage for our 20th anniversary during May, with the story being picked up by the Warrington Guardian online and in print, as well as Business Cheshire and Business Insider North West.
It’s always a great source of pride to share the story of Today Team and our Managing Director, Jamie Boyd, as along with his own work as business mentor for the King’s Trust, we hope that it can help to inspire the next wave of budding entrepreneurs in the region.
The media coverage hasn’t ended there however, with Today Team also featuring in two prominent Northern media outlets over the past few days.
What I’ve learnt
First up is Prolific North, who have featured an article in which our MD Jamie answers question around the key lessons he’s learnt in the 20 years since he founded the business.
Prolific North is a platform for the North’s creative, marketing and tech sectors, and shines a spotlight on the work, people, companies and stories that make the North a powerhouse.
In the article, he answers questions including what is his best failure, best investment, his biggest influence, and a single piece of advice he’d give to his younger self.
The article ends on a note that’s especially important to Today Team and our values, where Jamie describes what success looks like:
“Doing what we say we are going to do. I take pride in our record on customer service and reliability – something that hasn’t changed since my van-driving days, when I was delivering furniture locally.”

Up-and-coming companies in Cheshire
A second nice surprise came in the shape of Today Team being listed in a Ones to Watch feature as one of ten up-and-coming companies in the country of Cheshire by the North West Business Insider in their July print issue.
Insider Media is the UK’s leading regional B2B media platform, providing essential business news and intelligence to professionals across every region of the country.
The snippet relates the story of Today Team’s foundation – our growth from a £3,000 loan and a single to a £3m turnover business with up to 70 drivers on the road on any given day.
It also goes on to mention our ambitious plans for growth, with sights set on a £5m turnover by 2028/29.
It’s an honour to be chosen and featured in this segment alongside some fantastic Cheshire businesses. We’re also proud to be a Cheshire and North West based business, supporting local clients and the community over the last 20 years.
