Today Team Sponsors Warrington Cup
Continuing in our proud tradition of supporting local Rugby League, Today Team will be official sponsors of the Warrington Cup U14s trophy for the next 2 years.
As Managing Director Jamie Boyd explains: “My earliest memories of rugby league are playing in 7’s tournaments at Wilderspool as a kid, and it’s fair to say I was hooked from then on! When the opportunity came for us to sponsor the Warrington Cup arose, I couldn’t turn it down. To be able to support a tournament that gives others the same chance I had is something I’m really proud of.”
Revived for the first time in around a decade, the inaugural Junior Warrington Cup Final will be held on Saturday October 18th at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, home of Warrington Wolves.
It promises to be a fantastic day of Rugby League and a truly historic occasion for grassroots clubs across the town, as the community comes together to celebrate the dedication and hard work that keeps our amateur game thriving.
Organiser David Manfredi said: “It’s a fantastic coup to have someone like Jamie supporting the competition having played grassroots himself, and now giving back as a business owner. This is what community is all about.”
There are finals in 3 different age groups on the finals day, with the Today Team U14s Cup first on the fixture list:
Game 1 – U14s
Woolston vs. Latchford – 11:30am Kick-Off
Game 2 – U18s
Latchford vs. Culcheth – 1:30pm Kick-Off
Game 3 – U16s
Woolston vs. Crosfields – 3:30pm Kick-Off
For those looking to attend, cash will be accepted on the turnstiles, but we strongly recommend purchasing through individual clubs in advance to avoid queues and delays on the day.
