Today Team U14s Trophy – Warrington Cup 2025 Final Round-Up
The revived Junior Warrington Cup came to an incredible conclusion at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday 18th October, bringing together hundreds of young players, families and supporters for a fantastic celebration of grassroots rugby league.
Our MD Jamie Boyd was in attendance, and presented the U14s Final Trophy:

U14s Final – Latchford Giants Crowned Champions
The opening fixture of the day set the tone for the whole event. The U14s Today Team Cup Final saw Latchford Giants and Woolston Rovers go head-to-head in an exciting, end-to-end contest packed with energy, teamwork and plenty of talent.
After a hard-fought game, Latchford Giants emerged as worthy winners — huge congratulations to both sides for reaching the final and for putting on such a brilliant display of junior rugby league.
The Warrington Cup’s revival has been a real labour of love for organiser David Manfredi, who spent months pulling the event together alongside a team of volunteers and local sponsors. His vision and hard work ensured that young players across Warrington had the chance to compete in front of friends and family at one of the most iconic stadiums in the North West.
“Seeing people smile and having fun was the best bit,” David reflected. “Families coming out in numbers to see their sons run out at the Halliwell Jones Stadium is something that doesn’t happen very often — it’s something they’ll never forget.”
Community Spirit in Action
The atmosphere was electric throughout, with music, commentary and local support helping to make the day feel truly special. Also among those in attendance was Charlotte Nichols MP, who praised the opportunity to play at the home of Warrington Wolves as “a huge inspiration to these young players” and congratulated all those involved in bringing the competition back to life.
It has been fantastic to see so many people come together to support grassroots rugby league in Warrington and as sponsors for the next year as well, we’re looking forward to seeing how the competition and event progresses in the future.
