Charity fire walk
Earlier this month we took on the challenge of walking over hot coals to help raise money for the Warrington Disability Partnership along with many others including the Mayor of Warrington Geoff Settle, Warrington-Worldwide Editor and WDP Trustee Gary Skentelbery and Active Cheshire CEO Anne Boyd.
The event was run by Scott Bell, twice holder of the Guinness Word Record for the greatest fire walking distance at our HQ in Warrington.
After we had signed our lives away and a 45-minute brief talk around 20 of us braved the 613 Celsius coals (measured prior to the walk), most people walking over two or three times including the Mayor and his teddy George.
Up to now with all JustGiving pages combined we have raised a total of £2,606 for the WDP’s 25th anniversary.
We would like to thank everyone who got involved in the event and for all your support in the fundraising.
