Investing in People and Setting the Foundations for 2026 at Today Team
When people talk about growth in our industry, they often focus on vehicles, volumes, or new contracts. At Today Team, we believe sustainable growth starts somewhere else, with the people who make it all happen.
Looking ahead to the rest of 2026 and beyond, we’re taking some time to step back, reflect, and get clear on what really matters. That’s why we’re starting the year with a structured goal-setting programme designed to help our team build clarity, focus, and momentum for the year ahead.
A considered, people-first approach
Rather than treating goal-setting as a one-off exercise, this is being approached as a process. The focus is on laying strong foundations, aligning individual goals with shared values, and making sure good intentions turn into meaningful action.
To support this, we’re working with Martin Robert Hall, who will be guiding the team through a series of sessions across the early part of the year. The first team session was held at Today Team HQ this week.
The programme is designed to:
- Help individuals understand the “why” behind goal setting.
- Encourage clarity and focus on what matters most.
- Turn goals into practical habits and behaviours.
- Build accountability through reflection and follow-up.
It’s about creating the space to think, reset, and move forward with purpose. Something that’s easy to overlook in a fast-paced, time-critical industry.
Built on values, not buzzwords
For us, this isn’t about corporate slogans or box-ticking exercises. It’s about reinforcing the standards we set for ourselves and making sure the way we work aligns with the values we talk about.
As Martin puts it:
“I enjoy working with Today Team because of the high standards they set and the emphasis they place on living their values. This time of year is about getting clear on priorities and building momentum. I have enjoyed working with the team on this.”
Looking ahead
Today Team’s Managing Director, Jamie Boyd, explains the importance of these workshops to our plans as a business:
“Programmes like this don’t exist in isolation. They’re part of how we think about progress, responsibility, and long-term success, as individuals and as a team.
We know clear goals, shared values, and regular reflection make a real difference, especially in our fast-paced industry.
As we move forward, continuing to invest time and energy into our people remains a priority, because they are what ultimately help us to drive everything else forward.”
