DVLA ban rude ‘66’ registration plates
As every year when the new registration plates come out, the DVLA try to stop rude registration plates from getting on our roads.
The DVLA haven’t published the full list yet, however the below are believed to be on the ten-page long list for obvious reasons.
DA66 GER, DO66 ERS, MU66 OFF, MU66 GER, MU66 GAR, MU66 HYM, MU66 HER, OR66 ASM, OR66 SMS, DO66 NNG, DR66 GGS, DR66 GGY, GO66 BLE
Other plates which have been banned over the years include BO11 OOX, P15 OFF, WE11 GAY, FU11 SHT, UP15 BUM and WA15 TED. – Full list here.
Censors meet every six months to decide on potentially offensive licence plates with the full list of banned plates running into the thousands.
If any of the licence plates manage to get on the roads the DVLA has the power to force drivers to hand back the licence plate.
